What is One Cause?

One Cause is a UK registered charity with no religious, political or governmental affiliations. We are committed to raising awareness and funds for the provision and advancement of education to those communities around the world that have little or no access to meaning education.

Our aim is to provide a socially, financially and environmentally self sustaining model so that local communities are empowered and equipped to pursue a more properous and sustainable future.

Who benefits from One Cause’s work?

We currently have 2 major initiatives.

The first programme of initiatives is with Nirvana School in Tamil Nadu, India.

The Government approved curriculum is followed, with an emphasis on teaching in English, which will enable the children to compete in an increasingly international environment.

The school also organises separate tuition classes in the evenings for children attending nearby government schools.

We have previously worked with the Nirvana School in 2005 to raise funds to purchase land for a school playground. We aim to work alongside Nirvana over a medium to long term basis in order to make a tangible difference to the local community.

The second venture is with the Auro Foundation in the village of Iyoriang in Uganda.

While Nirvana School had already been established for many years before we began working with them, the Auro Foundation is in its infancy.

The potential to make this a thriving community with education at its centre is huge and that's one of main reasons One Cause decided to support this organisation.

How does One Cause’s work make a difference?

Our work makes a tangible difference because we understand the communities we work with, and, in partnership with local organisations, we collaborate with them to identify their needs.

Our aim is to be in partnership with these local organisations over a medium to long-term basis and not just a one-off basis. We will track the progress on each programme with a view to ensure that it is self-sustaining.
