The summit, at 1,344 metres (4,406 ft) above sea level, features the ruins of an observatory which was permanently staffed between 1883 and 1904. We thought if One Cause were going to climb a mountain, well why not try the biggest mountain in the United Kingdom, The Ben Nevis!

Where Is Ben Nevis?
Ben Nevis (Gaelic: Beinn Nibheis) is the highest mountain in Great Britain. It is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of Scotland, close to the coastal town of Fort William.
What To Wear
It is important that your clothes are both comfortable and practical. Prepare to dress for any weather, especially in the UK, where the weather can change rapidly.
Keeping your clothing clean will enable the fibres to both keep your warm and also take the sweat away from your body; matted fibres will not do this.
Wearing layers will enable you to both keep warm, as the air is trapped between the layers of clothing, and also let you take layers off as you start to get warm.
What to bring with you
- Waterproof Jacket
- Warm hat and gloves
- Clothing Layer
- Walking boots
- Small rucksack
- Plenty of water
- Mobile phone
Please do not bring any valuables with you as One Cause cannot accept any liability.
